PAST FUNDRAISERS
For the 18th Christmas, The Big J Show Cares has helped Billings-area families celebrate the joy of the holiday season. In 2022, our community was able to provide some Christmas cheer for 62 families totaling an estimated $91,756 worth of gifts
FLOCK CANCER
2022 provided another chance to migrate our pink flamingos around town. As a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, people could send the flock to a residence or business for a day. We were able to raise over $16,000 as a group for Relay For Life.
BOOKS FOR KIDS 2022
This year was a year for growth in many of our causes. Our book drive was no different. We were able to raise enough funds to help additional schools in 2022. Bench, McKinley, Ponderosa, and Fromberg schools all received enough money to purchase books every month for their 982 students.
CARBON & STILLWATER FLOOD RELIEF
In June 2022, Carbon and Stillwater Counties were hit by record flooding. Through the generosity of many people and businesses in our area, we were able to provide food, water, volunteers, and other donations to the people of the affected areas. We partnered with the American Red Cross, Rock Creek Church, and other community organizations to distribute over $22,000 in resources.
YELLOWSTONE VALLEY ANIMAL SHELTER
Our love for Billings doesn't just stop at people, we also care for the animals! In 2022 we had the opportunity to host a few drives for supplies for the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. This year that included a kitten food collection in the spring, a hot dog drive to celebrate Hot Dog Day in the summer, incentive books for a kitten reading program for kids, and enrichment toys for dogs this winter.
ZOOMONTANA
In addition to the donated airtime for the Zoo throughout 2022, last summer we were able to purchase 23 memberships for families who love the zoo, but cannot afford to attend. We also were able to support the zoo during out Santa Claus For A Cause event by purchasing 266 one-day passes for all of the family members that were adopted.
